About Me

I graduated from Purdue University in December 2009 with a B.A. in Communication.  While in the Liberal Arts Honors Society, I specialized in Public Relations & Advertising and minored in French and History.  Outside of classwork, I was involved with a variety of extracurricular activities including Phi Mu sorority, Purdue Student Union Board, Panhellenic Association Board of Directors, Dance Marathon, Boiler Gold Rush and Public Relations Student Society of America.

I'm on the far left, with three of my Panhellenic besties at Dance Marathon '09

After gaining 30 lbs in college, I decided 2010 would be the year I get back into shape and lose the weight.

At graduation-- all 150 lbs of me! (12/20/09)

After spending the spring trying to get motivated and get in shape, I decided to make a plan.  In May I set my sights on spending the summer "learning" to run with an ultimate goal of running a 5K in September.

After my very first race, 09/12/10

I had SO much fun running that 5K!  I kept working out all fall, winter and spring, but hit a plateau.  I had lost 15 lbs and just couldn't seem to lose the last 15.  Now that I'm job hunting again, my days are less scheduled and my workouts have become more sporadic.  In order to lose those final 15 lbs, I have signed up to run the Chicago Half Marathon in September and am strictly following a 10-week training plan.

At heart I’m a blend of east coast prep and southern belle, but technically I’m a Chicago girl. I’m ridiculously organized and love anything monogrammed. My faves include reading, pearls, soccer, bows, Twizzlers, being outside, tennis, social media, Cubs baseball, headbands, blueberry muffins, Purdue football games, Lilly Pulitzer, mani/pedis, Starbucks, pretzels, fall leaves, volunteering, the Eiffel Tower, Vineyard Vines, traveling and cardigans!
